Today I drove! Not far, only from camp into Renfrew.
It felt a little strange when I first got in the drivers seat, but after all I have been backseat driving for 6 months so had not lost my touch.
And if you think this is a joke, just ask Jenn or Norm.
I am well named Dodi.
I remember my Uncle Fred quipping that my Granny drove her whole life and never had a drivers licence!

  2. Good to hear that you were behind the wheel to drive to Renfrew! I am sure you will travel further afield now!

Yeah! Sounds like life is getting back to normal. The month at camp is helping with the healing.

Happiness is within the reach of almost anyone. We can work on it as we work on our backhands, our soufflés or our muscles in the gym. True happiness, in that sense, doesn’t mean trying to acquire things, so much as letting go of things (our illusions and attachments). It’s only the clouds of short-sightedness or ignorance, that prevent us from seeing that our essential nature is blue sky.

    Thinking of you everyday,
    Jane

P.S. I only have 2 more radiation sessions, and all is fine. No side-effects (other than unexplained minor pain for 2-3 days in the 2nd week). You should do just fine.

Congratulations on the drive!!!! PS: Even though I'm not around much--you're in my daily prayers when I take a few moments to thank Him for everything from the beautiful day to my doctors to my friends and family.
